Why temporary tattoo may put your life in danger?

Why temporary tattoo may put your life in danger?

People always want to enjoy their life at its fullest. No matter whatever season it may be, people want to enjoy their outing. But in this scenario, they don’t mind taking risk. For example, some people intend to enjoy holidays or vacation abroad, while some people indulge in various outdoor activities like rock climbing, kayaking, para gliding etc. But some people wish to etch tattoo on their body so as to look cool. A majority of people go for permanent tattoo while others go for temporary tattoo. But tattoo is a tattoo, no matter whether it is temporary or permanent one. You may perhaps aware that permanent tattoos are injected into the skin while temporary tattoos last from three days to several weeks. It all depends on the product and material used. According to Linda Katz, MD MP H. Director of FDA’s office of Cosmetics and colors, “just because a tattoo is temporary doesn’t mean that it won’t pose any risk”, some of the reported problems FDA received from people who go for temporary tattoos include: loss of pigmentation, redness, blisters, increased sensitivity to sunlight, permanent scarring etc. You could know the consequences or reaction of temporary tattoo immediately or even after two to three weeks later.
Don’t use temporary tattoo with ingredients containing black henna – In Asia and Africa people have been using natural henna for decorating their palms and skin. But its other variety of black henna, contain some chemicals, so as to provide a darker shade. But this black henna has been found dangerous as it may result in skin rashes and other risks.
Black henna contains coal-tar hair dye and ingredients like P- Phenylenediamine (PPD). You can easily identify whether temporary tattoos services offered at beaches, shopping malls or outlets and other shops containing black henna through their bill-boards.
Some people take the advice of FDA casually but later learn its effects when they have to go through the trauma. For example, when a 5 year old girl applied the tattoo of black henna, she developed redness on her forearms two weeks after its application. Another woman revealed how her son secretly etched temporary tattoo and later has to tackle its consequences when he developed blisters and itchiness.
If you are a diabetic?
Every diabetic should consult their physician if they wish to go for tattooing. If a person has good control over their blood glucose level s/he don’t have to bother about temporary tattoo implementation. But at any cost consult your physician first.
Temporary tattoo during pregnancy – You would put your life in danger if you go for tattooing during pregnancy. You are aware that tattoo needles are sharp and can result in a shock. It also increases a person’s stress level. However, this stressful situation triggers premature baby.
But if you have been confident that all this written advice don’t bother you, choose a tattoo practitioner who follows hygiene like use of sterile disposable needles, wears clean gloves and his equipment and dye are clean you are in safe hands.
